Our Light, Jesus Christ
I’m a little behind on my Bible reading but this morning I read something that struck me. I’m currently in the Book of Isaiah and I just started to read Chapter 60 and as soon as I read the very first verse,
đđđŋđļđđ˛, đđĩđļđģđ˛, đŗđŧđŋ đđŧđđŋ đšđļđ´đĩđ đĩđŽđ đ°đŧđēđ˛,
đŽđģđą đđĩđ˛ đ´đšđŧđŋđ đŧđŗ đđĩđ˛ đđŧđŋđą đđĩđļđģđ˛đ đŧđđ˛đŋ đđŧđ.
I instantly thought of Genesis 1:3-4
đ¯đ§đĩđ˛đģ đđŧđą đđŽđļđą, “đđ˛đ đđĩđ˛đŋđ˛ đ¯đ˛ đšđļđ´đĩđ,” đŽđģđą đđĩđ˛đŋđ˛ đđŽđ đšđļđ´đĩđ. đ°đđŧđą đđŽđ đđĩđŽđ đđĩđ˛ đšđļđ´đĩđ đđŽđ đ´đŧđŧđą, đŽđģđą đđŧđą đđ˛đŊđŽđŋđŽđđ˛đą đđĩđ˛ đšđļđ´đĩđ đŗđŋđŧđē đđĩđ˛ đąđŽđŋđ¸đģđ˛đđ.
Now, I am no Bible scholar. In fact this is my first time even reading and interpreting the Bible. I miss a lot of what is actually being said. And I could totally be overthinking this but in my mind I can’t help but believe these two separate scriptures from two totally separate times are saying the same thing.
That the ‘light’ is not actually representing ‘light’ literally but figuratively by prophesying the birth of our savior Jesus Christ and that Jesus is our ‘light’.
Thoughts on this? Am I totally out in left field on this one? Again, I’m new to the Bible reading world and just trying to seek what gives me the most comfort, our Redeemer, Jesus Christ đ
