The First Disciples

Do you remember when you were in school and you were chosen to be the class leader that day or chosen as a โ€˜good citizen or buddyโ€™ and the feeling of elation that you had.

Imagine what that would have felt like to have been chosen as one of Jesusโ€™ disciples.

I love this quote from Mark 1:17 when Jesus began gathering his disciples and spoke these words to the fisherman he came upon, or sought out, Simon and his brother Andrew and James and his brother John. To be a disciple that Jesus chose to help him spread and preach the Gospel.

What an honor that would have been especially during those times. I can feel the Glory just with reading Godโ€™s word through Jesus. Could you imagine how much more that feeling would be intensified if living it first hand. The Bible gives us that opportunity to live it! To breathe it! To thirst for and consume it!

I am so thankful for this living and breathing testimony of God and Jesus, his beloved Son. And thankful for my freedoms to share Godโ€™s word too.
